The book thief pages 30-45
I think that this section of the book thief was rather interesting. I enjoyed reading about the book thief's life in this new house. Mama seems like a person who wants everyone to be angry and stressed. Papa seems like a person who wants everyone to be relaxed and not to care about much things. Overall, I think that the author did really well of giving the reader a warm feeling when reading about Papa. And a cold, bitter feeling when reading about Mama.
"Rosa Huberman had a face decorated with constant fury". This is a sentence I thought was really well crafted, because instead of saying that Mama was always furious, the Author wrote that she was wearing fury. That was a sentence that stuck with me throughout the section.
This section really makes me want to know what will happen in the future with the book thief, and I can't wait to find out!

ReplyDeleteI liked how you pointed out that Mama wore fury, and not just always having an angry feeling. How you got those warm and cold feelings was nice to include. I felt the same way. Really nice thoughts overall.
